MEET THE TEAM

Our Speech-Language Pathology Team ​is made up of licensed speech-language pathologists with diverse areas of expertise, including language development, speech sound disorders, fluency, voice, swallowing, and augmentative and alternative communication. We work collaboratively across disciplines, striving to create a supportive, compassionate, and evidence-based environment where clients feel empowered and understood. Our goal is not only to treat communication difficulties but to build confidence, restore connections, and open up possibilities through the power of communication.

Lisa Hershberger

Speech-Language and Neurogenic Pathologist

Lisa Hershberger is a fully licensed speech-language pathologist and is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association who maintains an active Certificate of Clinical Competency. Lisa has extensive experience working with a multitude of difficulties such as: speech sound disorders, receptive/expressive language delays, stuttering, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), social language disorders, aphasia, traumatic brain injury, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and other genetic disorders. She is passionate about working with clients and their families to encourage functional communication skills and increased independence within academic, social, and/or occupation settings. 

Niki Kafashzedeh

Speech-Language Pathologist

Niki Kafashzedeh is a speech language pathologist who is trained in Myofunctional Therapy to remediate difficulties in swallowing, tongue thrust and other oral-motor defecits and in the PROMPT© Technique. She is also a Certified Core Lactation Consultant. She is an active certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and has practiced speech therapy in rehabilitation centers with adults and also works with patients from ages birth to 85 at a private practice. She has experience with pragmatic language disorders, developmental delays, expressive and receptive delays, articulation, oral motor disorder, myofunctional disorders and fluency disorders. 

Samantha Yi

Speech-Language Pathologist

Samantha Yi is a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist with an impressive background in pediatric care. Samantha is certified in myofunctional therapy and a trained Lee Silverman Voice Therapist (LSVP). She has extensive experience evaluating and treating a wide variety of pediatric speech and language disorders such as: Articulation Disorder, Phonological Disorder, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), Dysarthria, and Stuttering. As well as Receptive and Expressive Language Disorders.


Xenia Davis

Speech-Language Pathologist

Xenia Davis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and began her career in education, where she taught young children and discovered her passion for communication development. Her background in both education and speech-language pathology allows her to approach therapy with a holistic, client-centered perspective, meeting each individual where they are and supporting their growth across settings.

Megan Moersen

Speech-Language and Neurogenic Pathologist

Megan Moersen is a licensed speech-language pathologist with experience assessing and providing treatment to individuals with receptive and expressive language disorders, auditory processing disorders, executive functioning, language delays, and social-pragmatic deficits. She also specializes in the treatment and diagnoses of Articulation, Phonology, and Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and Language Delay. 

Marni Gold Greenberg

Speech-Language Pathologist

Marni Gold Greenberg is a PROMPT-trained speech-language specialist, Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) trained SLP, a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and is licensed by the state of Maryland as a professional pathologist. Marni garners a passion for helping both children and adults find their voice utilizing her extensive experience in the treatment of Aphasia and childhood Apraxia of Speech, and she specializes in many Speech Sound Disorders. Marni is dedicated to providing individualized, evidence-based care to support meaningful communication for every client she serves.

Clair O'Conner

Speech-Language, Auditory, and Neurogenic Pathologist

Claire O’Connor is a gifted speech pathologist specializing in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), autism spectrum disorders, language deficits, auditory processing, and speech sound disorders. She is also trained in the Speak Out approach that supports individuals with Parkinson’s and other motor related disorders. Additionally, Claire has experience working with both the pediatric and adult populations, creating functional therapy materials for neuro-diverse clients.

Kristen Mitchell

Speech-Language Pathologist

Kristen Mitchell is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist who has experience assessing and providing treatment in early intervention, speech sound disorders, fluency, social communication, expressive / receptive language disorders, voice, motor speech disorders, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Kristen holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Known for her compassionate approach, creativity in sessions, and collaboration with families, Kristen is dedicated to making therapy both meaningful and motivating. Her work focuses on building confidence, connection, and communication across all settings.

Lauren Cherry

Speech-Language and Neurogenic Pathologist

Lauren Cherry is a certified member of the American Speech and Hearing Association and the Washington Speech and Hearing Group. Lauren has experience working in a variety of settings including skilled nursing, private practice, and school-based settings. She is a certified Myofunctional Speech therapist and enjoys specializing in areas including eliminating oral motor habits (thumb sucking for example) and improper tongue positioning at rest (during speech and when swallowing). She also has experience working with adults and children in other areas including, but not limited to, Speech Sound Disorders, Social-Pragmatic Disorders, Expressive and Receptive Language, Fluency, Aphasia, and Cognition. Lauren is working towards certification to be a trained gestalt language processing clinician.

Orla Lissade

Speech-Language and Neurogenic Pathologist

Orla Lissade is a proud upstate New York native who maintains active certification and membership with ASHA (the American Speech and Hearing Association) and full licensure to practice in the state of Maryland. She has experience working with both children and adults in teletherapy, schools, home health, and private practice settings. Her experience includes clinical work serving clients with aphasia, communication disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, speech sound disorders, language disorders, and early intervention. 

Michelle Notley

Speech-Language Pathologist

Michelle Notley brings over 25 years of experience to her work as a speech-language pathologist, providing compassionate and individualized care to children and young adults. Since 1998, Michelle has been serving families in Montgomery County, working with clients from birth through age 20. Her background in special education enhances her ability to support children with a wide range of communication needs, and she continues to approach each case with curiosity, empathy, and a commitment to growth—for both her clients and herself. Michelle believes in building strong relationships with families and creating a supportive environment where children can thrive. She is passionate about helping every client reach their full potential through personalized, evidence-based therapy



Hannah Shapiro

Speech-Language Pathologist

Hannah Shapiro is currently completing her Clinical Fellowship here at ABC Kids and Adults Speech Therapy. Hannah has experience evaluating and treating children across various disciplines such as university clinics, summer programs, private practices, and schools. Her clinical interests include early language development, speech sound disorders, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She is passionate about building strong relationships with children and families to support meaningful, functional communication progress in everyday settings.
