Orla Lissade, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a proud speech-language pathologist originally from New York, where she was born and raised. She received her undergraduate degree from Nazareth University in Communication Sciences and Disorders and later moved to the DMV area for graduate school and completed her M.S. at the University of the District of Columbia in Speech-Language Pathology.

She loved the DMV so much, she decided to stay after graduating and has been working in the area ever since. She maintains active certification and membership with ASHA (the American Speech and Hearing Association) and full licensure to practice in the state of Maryland.

Orla’s had the opportunity to work with both kids and adults across a variety of settings, including private practice, schools, home health, and teletherapy. She supports individuals with a wide range of communication needs, including expressive and receptive language, articulation and phonology, phonological awareness, social communication, early intervention, autism spectrum disorder, and AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) devices.

​ Orla believes in creating a supportive, fun, and individualized approach for every client that she has the opportunity to work with. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, visiting her family back in New York, playing with her dog, and finding a new book to read.
