Claire O’Connor is a gifted speech pathologist specializing in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), autism spectrum disorders, language deficits, auditory processing, and speech sound disorders. She is also trained in the Speak Out approach that supports individuals with Parkinson’s and other motor related disorders. Currently, Claire is also a PhD student in the College of Information at UMD, where she explores how large language models (LLMs) can enhance communication for autistic individuals and AAC users. Originally from the Jersey Shore, Claire enjoys being with her family and friends when not working or studying. |
